Aerospace Institute at The Houston Spaceport – $50 Million Construction Value
Houston Airport System has contracted with F S Group Architects to plan, program, and concept a campus where several colleges and universities can collaborate at the Houston Spaceport. We are working hand-in-hand with local educational institutes such as University of Houston Clear Lake, San Jacinto College, and Texas Southern University to design an institution viable for training programs for the aerospace industry workforce. We have developed the program for this institution and working towards a schematic design that will influence the entire campus.
Fort Bend Emergency Operations Center - $12 Million Construction Value
This new two-story building will provide emergency operations to Fort Bend County during times of distress and serves as a symbol of fortification during a natural disaster. The building exterior was designed with inspiration from lighthouses, a guiding symbol of permanence during a storm for ships. F S Group Architects was part of the entire design process of this project and developed the complete exterior façade of the building according to city and state emergency center code guidelines. The team of multiple consultants utilized BIM Revit to meet Fort Bend County requirements and their asset management needs.
International Airport Houston (IAH) Terminal B - $1.2 Billion Construction Value
F S Group Architects has partnered with Corgan and a multitude of other consultants to provide architectural design services for the Terminal B Redevelopment to increase efficiency for passengers and staff as they make their way through the airport. This project will take place in three phases over several months. F S Group Architects is responsible for designing entirety of the Terminal B South Concourse Renovation.

Value Engineering is a conscious and explicit set of disciplined procedures designed to seek out optimum value for both initial and long-term investment. First utilized in the manufacturing industry during World War II, it has been widely used in the construction industry for many years. Value Engineering (VE) is not a design/peer review or a cost-cutting exercise. VE is a creative, organized effort, which analyzes the requirements of a project for the purpose of achieving the essential functions at the lowest total costs (capital, staffing, energy, maintenance) over the life of the project. Through a group investigation, using experienced, multi-disciplinary teams, value, and economy are improved through the study of alternate design concepts, materials, and methods without compromising the functional and value objectives of the client.
