Valerie is a project manager with the skills to see a project through to completion. She is an Associate Principal at F S Group Architects and has been with the firm for over six years. In this time, she has served as lead for several major projects, the current is a $1.4 billion project for the City of Houston. The Northeast Water Purification Plant (NEWPP) Expansion Project is currently the largest, progressive design-build project of its kind in the U.S. The goal of this project is to increase surface water usage and dramatically reduce south Texas’ dependence on groundwater.
Prior to joining FS Group Architects, her experience is wide-ranging and included design and renovation of a $7.6 million Middle School for Houston ISD, design and production of a Las Vegas Restaurant with a 40,000-gallon aquarium tank, the project management of a new $15 million elementary school for Fort Bend ISD, design and production of a small Community Center in Waller County, production of high rise resort condominiums in Miami, and a $2.3 Million renovation of a small Houston park.
Valerie holds a Bachelor of Architecture from Texas Tech University, has volunteered her graphic design skills for AIA committees, and published her graphic work in Cite magazine.
